Terms & Conditions

Welcome to GoCar France. By accessing or using our website and booking services, you agree to be bound by these Terms & Conditions. Please read them carefully before making a reservation. These terms govern your relationship with GoCar France and its local rental partners.

1. General Information

GoCar France acts as an intermediary platform connecting customers with licensed car rental providers across France. When you make a booking, you enter into a rental agreement directly with the local supplier named in your confirmation email. GoCar France facilitates the booking and ensures transparency, but is not the direct rental provider.

2. Booking and Confirmation

All reservations made through our website must include accurate personal details. Once your booking is submitted, you will receive an email confirmation with vehicle information, pickup instructions, and payment details. Please review this information carefully and contact us immediately if any corrections are needed.

3. Payment and Deposit

Depending on the vehicle and partner, payment may be made online or at pickup. We offer flexible options, including debit card, cash, or bank transfer depending on availability. Some rentals may require a small refundable deposit to cover potential damages or additional costs. The exact deposit amount is displayed clearly before you confirm your booking.

4. No Credit Card Rentals

GoCar France specializes in Car Hire France No Credit Card options. However, certain vehicle categories or suppliers may still require a credit card for security purposes. This information will be stated on the vehicle description page and in your booking confirmation.

5. Cancellations and Modifications

You can cancel or modify your reservation free of charge within the stated time limit before the pickup date. After this period, cancellation fees may apply. To cancel or modify your booking, please contact us at [email protected] or use the “Manage Booking” link in your confirmation email.

6. Driver Requirements

All drivers must present a valid driver’s license, passport, and rental voucher at pickup. The minimum age for renting a car is generally 21 years, though some suppliers may require drivers to be 23 or older. Drivers under 25 may be subject to a young driver surcharge.

7. Vehicle Use

The rented vehicle must be used responsibly and in accordance with French traffic laws. It is not permitted to use the car for racing, off-road driving, or subleasing to third parties. The renter is fully responsible for any fines, penalties, or damages caused during the rental period.

8. Insurance and Coverage

All rentals include basic insurance (CDW and TP). Optional full coverage can be purchased at the time of booking or pickup for additional protection. The insurance details and excess amounts are clearly displayed before booking. It is the renter’s responsibility to understand what is covered under the chosen plan.

9. Fuel and Mileage Policy

Fuel and mileage policies vary by partner and are stated in the booking details. The most common options are “Full-to-Full” (return the car with a full tank) and “Unlimited Mileage.” Please follow the policy shown in your confirmation to avoid additional charges.

10. Late Returns and No-Shows

If you expect to return the vehicle later than the agreed time, please inform the supplier as soon as possible. Late returns may result in extra charges. In case of a no-show without prior notice, the booking may be automatically canceled and no refund will be issued.

11. Liability

GoCar France is not liable for any accidents, damages, or losses that occur during the rental period. All claims or disputes related to vehicle condition, delays, or service quality must be directed to the local supplier named in your booking confirmation.

12. Personal Data

By making a booking, you consent to the processing of your personal data as outlined in our Privacy Policy. We ensure that your information is stored securely and shared only with partners directly involved in fulfilling your rental.
